Fly like a bird sting like a bee

procrastination..

I stayed up till 1:30 last night doing homework so when my alarm went off at 7 I decided to go back to bed and sleep till 7:45 then eat breakfast after my 8 am so around 8:45 I had a nice bowl of oats with 1/2 a banana

for dinner I had paneras Thai Chicken Salad and french onion soup
I only used some of the dressing which I later found out I should have used all of it because it was only 30 calories then I picked out the wonton strips. I did not eat the cheese or croutons out of my soup
 the meal totaled out to be 170!

i came home and worked out I ran for 20 elliptical-ed for 20 and did legs
I came home starving at about 830 and had pumpkin yogurt and a rice cake with almond butter

trifecta

First day of lent was a success now I have 39 more. This morning I woke up craving something cold so I poured myself a glass of almond milk with a sprinkle of kashi. I had baked oatmeal today I found I like them better cold then hot.
It is a horrible picture but I have almond butter, cookie butter and coconut butter spread on top all equaling about 1tsp definitely worth the 30 calories

I gave up late night eating (after 9) so at 8:30 I had

splash of vanilla soymilk
topped with granola and kashi
splash of maple syrup

My workout today was very relaxing I did 15 mins on elliptical and 15 on the bike then I did a little bit of triceps and chest 6 sets then 6 sets of abbs! It was a very relaxing  enjoyable work out!
My lunch did not quite hold me over 2pm I was starving again I made some Pumpkin oatmeal (with water so it was less calories) 1/3 c oatmeal and 2/3 c water

The oatmeal kept me full an focused through out my workout all the way till 7pm when I had dinner which was

I also cut out a little piece of flat out and had smeared some nut butter on it with coconut and rolled up 1/3 of a banana in it! The perfect most enjoyable treat!

Lunch today I was starving by 11 the bowl of kashi didnt keep me as full as my normal oats so I ate in the cafeteria I had a small

Giving up

Everyone always says once you lose weight and then don't loosen up a little on what you eat the weight will come right back. I thought since I was working out it was fine. APPARENTLY NOT! Ive gained..14.5 pounds. and no more will be added its time to start a healthy lifestyle for good. Today starts lent so I am giving up late night eating ie. after nine. This is when most of my caloric intake comes in!

I woke up this morning incredibly thirsty, so the usual oatmeal wasn't cutting it. I had

Never take a day for granite

this morning i started off with my baked banana oatmeal that i made last nigh then bake it  for 15 mins on 380 its a quick and easy breakfast 
whats in it?
1/2 rolled oats
1/4 c milk
1/2 smashed banana
had to add 1tsp of cookie butter! I also found out how to make my own cookie butter I cant wait to try it 

 here it is sliced, my breakfast came out to be 240
here is my mid morning snack there is 100 calories of pretzels and some freeze dried fruit plus 1 tbs of tjs rasions

lunch was spinach with sliced chicken...( its under all the spinach) and about a tbs of salsa. I really like salsa as dressing its super low calorie too!

Back on track!

Well after a weekend of eating what ever I wanted was over it was time to get back on track! for a pre workout snack I had a small bowl of fiber cereal Total 100

My workout was an intense hour. The 4 days off gave me so much energy. I ran 20 mins on 5.5-7.5 it made 5.5 feel like walking! I biked for 10 mins totaling my 30 mins of cardio. Then I did legs I burned a total of 400 calories!

Dinner was Greek Chicken Salad I love this protein packed goodness!

This Winter Is Wonderful!

Last night when I got off the airplane I went to Whole Foods because there open till 10 on sundays, and were busy I bought
Coconut butter and Justin's Maple Almond butter
definitely worth the 23.50!

weekend away

I flew home the weekend and I did some reaserch of places to eat by the air port, I came across this European bakery called NADOZ. I had a buckwheat crepe called Chicken fit for you. It had grilled chicken, spinach, Artichokes, mushrooms and an herb cream cheese! It was amazing! It had 356 calories 15g protein and 9 g Fat

I did not bring much to snack on for the plane, because this crepe was so filling

For dinner I had Jambalya made in the crock pot it had chicken shrimp celery peppers onions tomatoes and brown rice

The next morning I slept in when I woke up I had Crockpot pumpkin oats. They were good just a little watery. I love steal cut oats they just take so long to cook.

For dinner we went to a small italian restaurant because I was craving pasta! This restaurant was called Maranellias. We started off with an appetizer, a stuffed artichoke it was delicious. Then french onion soup ( instead of salad) speaking of I didn't have salad all weekend....DREAM BIG! then for the main course I got mastocholi and my mom got chicken parm and we spilt the 2 with each other. Then for desert we shared a canoli. the dinner was fantastic!

for breakfast the next morning i had kashi and milk with 2 tbs of greek yogurt to get that yummy consistency

we had a late lunch that turned into diner at suzettes which was amazing.
it started off with an appetizer of french onion soup no exaggeration the best ive had in my life it wasn't all broth they had to have added some cream or milk but it was wonderful. For the main coarse I got a poached chicken crepe with sautéed mushrooms and a sherry sauce it also came with a salad and homemade balsamic dressing. For desert we spilt one banana fosters crepe and one warm apple with salted Carmel crepe!

Sunday
This was my last day to sleep in, I woke up and made myself a big bowl of oats (my favorite)
Then my grandma came over to teach me how to make lasagna oh how I love being italian. I ate 3/4 of a piece and was absolutely stuffed! Well the 3 pieces of bread didn't help when I was patiently awaying the lasagna to cook for an hour and 30 mins.

I went to trader joes and loaded up on food because they don't have one where I go to school, the TSA at the airport questioned me why I had so much food in my purse... especially the loaf of ezekial bread witch I do really like!
When i got the the gate I snacked on some whole grain pretzels and dried fruit (the best dried raisins from tjs)

forgiveness

Last night I baked Katies Chocolate chip Cookies and sugar cookies they were amazing I ate to many I had a massive stomach ache! I also baked Allies Granola which is amazing! The last thing I made  well tried to make was Baked apple crisps but I ended up slicing the apples too large and cooking them for 3 hours! Lesson learned! To top my night off I had a Skinny Cow these things are wayyy too good with only 150 calories! Long story short I ate way too much last night and accidentally weighed myself this morning... its time to go back on a diet!

I made pumpkin overnight oats last night but I took one bite and was just not into it so I had

  • 1C. Kashi
  • 3/4C. Vanilla soy milk
  • 2 heaping tbs. of greek yogurt
  • 1/2 frozen banana

love the thick consistency of this its like runny milkshake its fantastic!
Last night dinner was crepes and bannana pancakes!
total carbo loading but so worth it!
Crepes (makes 5 crepes)

  • 1/2 oat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 almond milk
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Toppings

  • pumpkin yogurt (pumpkin puree+greek yogurt)
  • Greek yogurt
  • sliced bananna
  • pecans




Bannan  Pancakes ( makes about 5 small pancakes)
1/4 whole wheat pastry flower
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4c almond milk
1/2 or more smashed banana

For breakfast I went all out! I had

  • 1/2 oatmeal
  • splash of keirf (never agian it made it bitter and cold)
  • coconut
  • almond and Tjs cookie butter
sprinkle of walnuts
after that I had a spoonful of Greek mixed with some almond milk and Keirf... it wasn't as good as I had hoped! 


around 10:30 I had 2 pumpkin protein bars! these are fantastic!






for lunch I ate in the cafeteria (ick) I had a bowl of french onion soup with salad
1/2 Turkey Burger
romaine
mushrooms
poppy seed dressing
about 1/2 tbs of spinach artichoke dip 
1/2 pita slice

My breakfast held me all the way over till lunch! no morning snack needed! For lunch I ate in the cafeteria because they had chicken that I could salvage and put over salad because my Monster meat loaf cost $30.00 to make Im going to eat it sparingly! For lunch I had

3:00 after class I was craving a snack so I put together some....

at 530 I had dinner in the cafeteria so I didnt get a picture but I had

I went to the gym at 7:30 I worked on back and biceps I think its time to up the weights I don't feel like im doing anything I went up 10 lbs on the machines and 5 in free weights. I was am still very sore from yesterdays 3 mile run + legs so my cardio was a brisk 10 min elliptical 10 min bike then at the end I sprinted 1/2 mile. burned about 300 cals

I came back and wasn't hungry but I know I needed some protein so I had some more greek at about 9!

It was the same of my afternoon snack minus the banana and added some cinnamon!

I started taking vitamins today for the first time!
Green tea,Cinnamon,Womens Vitamins, Fish oil,Biotin and Caltraite!
I went to ride and had terrible back pain all morning I think i need to slowly start the vitimins instead of taking 8 to begin with.

On my plate I had 2 small squares of Jamie Easons Monster Meat Loaf some cut up red peppers+hummus I dipped my meat loaf in ketchup and a little but of tomato soup!

Day One

I made it no food after 8pm!
Ive never really been a fan of overnight oats until I was laying in bed last night and thought to make some for the morning. because I wasn't feeling a big bowl of cereal nor a steaming hot bowl of oatmeal so at 1 am i got up and concocted my overnight oats. I didn't really follow any sort of recipe but it turned out amazing. I only ate half of it because there was so much! Heres whats in the mix

I think I liked this one alot better because i normally use greek yogurt so its very stiff in the morning but plain yogurt was great it was not to stiff but not to runny, It was great!
I am a taster as you can see with all of the ingredients and add in in my overnight oats this is something im going to try and workout through out my blog! I also had 1/4 c. Kashi with a splash of almond milk again going back to me being a taster I just cant try one thing!

Not Gonna Lie This is a Little Strange!

I have made a vow not to eat past 8pm....Im on day one and already struggling but I have not doubt I can do it! I am currently on day 15 of my Jamie Easons get fit work out plan today was a legs day. First I ran 3 miles around campus then drove to the gym and did legs. Tomorrow will be the start to my blog madness..Every meal and workout and idea!
